The Madras Grand

Rented a room with 3 bedrooms, and they only provide 1 key card for security reasons. Been to 8 hotels in chennai with similar room arrangement, never faced this issue before. AC also had 0 maintaince done, was not working in two bedrooms.

breakfast was very delicious and affordable.we had idlis and medu vadas

We enjoyed the great space for our family of 5. It was great to have the kitchen and air conditioning. The staff was great. The location was great to get to everything we wanted to see.

Only location is convenient to egmore station and central station. Everything else about this hotel is bad.

The hotel restaurant is not good, not serving any south indian meals. Not clean.The hotel bathroom had no hand towelsTV was not workingTowels were not cleanHotel staff had no idea how to handle queries.

We stayed there for hockey and field was only 5 min walk and even good restaurants 10 min walk. Staff was good and very welcoming.

It was just on random place but inside hotel is nice

The staff was amazing, professional and provided great customer service.

Rooms are comfortable but dated and in need of updating.Our bathroom window would not completely shut flush with the wall. Towards the end of our stay we had saw two roaches in the room. Although the staff took care and sprayed the room, it was disappointing and ruined our stay

Very nice hotel in Egmore, close to the station.... comfortable beds with large spacious room.

I had an extremely frustrating stay at The Madras Grand. First, the air conditioning stopped working in our room. When we raised the issue, all they could do was apologize and offer us a fan seriously? After a long argument, they finally gave us a different room, but by then the experience was already ruined. To make matters worse, they charged us another a triple room, but what we got was a cramped, tiny room with barely any space for our bags. The room was uncomfortable and not at all worth the price. On a positive note, the restaurant staff were decent, but that was the only saving grace. I will not be coming back to this hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free stay."On top of that, the area around the hotel had a very bad smell, which made the whole experience even worse.

I expected better hospitality

The room was not as clean as I had expected. Upon arrival at the hotel, there was only one person at the reception who asked me to wait. The air conditioning in the reception area was not working, and I was literally sweating while waiting. Eventually, the receptionist arrived. I was quite thirsty and requested some water, but they didn’t attend to the request immediately. They seemed preoccupied with other tasks, and it was only after repeated requests that I was finally given some water.The room was located in a separate building, and the TV remote was missing. I called for assistance, and someone came to check, acknowledged the remote was indeed missing, and said they would return with a replacement—but they never came back. Additionally, there were mosquitoes in the room, which made the stay even more uncomfortable.

Breakfast is very good in terms of taste and varieties of fruits and dosa . Overall taste of breakfast is excellent

The staffs are very very polite and the front office staff is so kind and helpful... Food was good and clean and comfortable.. good ambience.. thanks to MG

Nice place to stay, the rooms are clean, the staff is courteous, the best part the bathroom was super clean and the shower was superb, the breakfast was very good, i recommend that if you are looking for a decent clean place to stay in Chennai this is it.

We visited madras grand they actually called 10000 times for the initial payment, and didn't inform us chennai residence people are not allowed they didn't mention in they website too when we above to pay and give our proof they said ur not allowed to stay and staffs aren't hospitalable, we literally waste 1hr of our time , I wouldn't recommend this place even ppl who are not chennai residence

Staying experience was awesome ✨ nd location was easily reachable. Staff's are so kind nd guided neatly. cleaning was so good. If we ask anything in anytime they will provide on the time it was so amazing

Price was really good for the facilities compared to other hotels. Breakfast choices were good as well and the cleaning stuff was on point.

The restaurant was too small for the amount of guests staying at the hotel, so if you happen to come at a time when tables are taken, you have to wait outside in the lobby till food is ready. Other biggest issue is that they have no bar and no alcohol policy (liable to fine), which isn’t great for someone trying to end their holiday or watch an IPL match.
